BYU-Idaho Business Research and Publishing students will create a business journal through a student editorial board that will issue a call for articles, peer review the articles, and design/layout the articles for a class publication. Each student will be a member of an editorial board and submit two researched articles for other publications.
What we're atempting to do is get your writing out of a classroom environment and put you to work writing and communicating with real professionals. Since you don't have time to submit work to outside editors and receive feedback, we're going to simulate the process as nearly as possible between different groups in this and other Business 499B sections.
Dual Roles--Writer and Editor
You will have two roles in this class: writer and editor. As a writer, you will submit your work to editorial boards in classes to be considered for publication. As an editor, you will help writers revise their work until it is ready for publication in your business journal and produce a finished publication modeld after The Harvard Business Review.
Objectives
